This is a super recommended experience for the more adventurous ones and looking for an adventure off the beaten path!

On this tour we will do a hike in the middle of the Tijuca's Forest to one of the most spectacular, but little-known, views of the wonderful city: The Bico do Papagaio!

Our first stop will be at Taunay Waterfall, the largest waterfall in Tijuca National Park, where we’ll take some photos. Right after, we’ll start the hike to Bico do Papagaio.

The trail is of moderate intensity, lasting about 1 hour and 20 minutes, with some steep sections where we’ll need to use our hands and hold onto roots and branches for support. This challenge, combined with the breathtaking view, makes it one of our favorite hikes!

After the hike, we’ll cool off at Gabriela Waterfall.

Recommendations

Clothing: Wear light walking clothes and closed shoes. Caps and hats are a good choice on sunny days. If you are taking a bath in the waterfall, be sure to bring a change of clothes and a towel. Take a light coat in your backpack, especially in the winter, as the temperatures at the top of Pedra Bonita tend to be lower.
Food: Take a light snack (sandwich, biscuit, fruit) and 1 liter of water per person. Don't forget to take an extra plastic bag to the trash.
Other items: Repellent, sunscreen and sunglasses.
Very important: Take high spirits and be willing to enjoy an unforgettable experience!
